Support for Youth Mental Wellbeing

Organise and Store donates $1 from every online sale to Reach Out Australia to help raise funds to support and improve the mental health and wellbeing of young adults, family and community.

Why support Young Adult Mental Health?

Mental ill health is a growing problem in Australia. Sadly 40% of young people experience mental ill-health. Anxiety and depression are the most common mental health issues that impact on young people. Although it’s normal to experience ups and downs, if mental health issues persist it can start impacting on a young person’s quality of life. So it’s important that they are able to seek and get quality support.

Reach Out Australia has a great vision - better mental health and wellbeing for all young people. Reach Out has tools and support for young people ages 14–25, from everyday issues to tough times. Information on mental health, peer support forums and apps. Reach Out Next Step service for ages 18-25 recommends support options. Reach Out Parents provides information and support to “help parents help teens”.

Reach Out is a safe place where young people can openly express themselves, get a deeper understanding and perspective on what’s happening in their lives, connect with people who will provide judgement-free support, and build the resilience to manage their challenges now and in the future. Designed with – and specifically for – young people, Reach Out is 100% online, anonymous and confidential.

Seeking help is a big step, and speaking to a GP or mental health professional can be difficult. After friends and family, the internet is the first place young people turn to for information and support.

Environment

Did you know that the Clothes Dryer can be the 4th biggest user of electricity in the home according to Canstar (https://www.canstarblue.com.au/electricity/the-most-energy-draining-appliances-in-your-home/#4)

We encourage everyone to air dry your clothes on a drying rack or clothesline. It is good for the environment and great for the longevity of the clothes. Airing the clothes helps fabrics last longer because it dries more gently that the heated tumbling of an electric clothes dryer. And, with an indoor or portable clothes airer, your clothes can be aired and dried ‘whether’ rain, hail or shine.

By air drying clothes, you are saving energy, reducing costs and improving the longevity of them.

Disaster response doesn’t end when the disaster is over and we are pleased to be able to have sent these clothes airers out last week to help those in need.

Good360’s approach to Disaster Recovery during these periods of flooding and storms is critical to ensure the right goods get to the right people at the right time.

A deluge of rain over a sustained period can mean that people need to evacuate their homes and livestock and pets are left stranded. Good360 are there at the early stages with clean-up goods including, mops, buckets, brooms and then throughout the long term, with homewares and furniture to help rebuild lives and homes.
